PacifiCare of California Insurance Product Features

PacifiCare has devoted itself to providing reliable, quality health coverage to Californians for nearly 25 years. Recognizing their unique needs and celebrating the diversity that defines them, PacifiCare CA has developed the following product suite for Golden State individuals and families:

• PacifiCare Signature Value HMO: With this plan, members pay a small co-pay for most  services, including in-patient and outpatient care, well-visits for children and preventive care  for adults, and routine office visits. Maternity services may be available. Prescription drug  coverage is offered on a co-pay  basis.
  
  
• PacifiCare Signature POS: This plan boasts the best of both worlds. For a small co-pay, choose network doctors for such things as preventive care, well-visits, outpatient care and hospitalization. If you don't mind spending a bit more, than you can choose your own doctor and pay a higher co-pay.
  
  
• PacifiCare Signature Independence (Indemnity): Once you meet the annual deductible with this plan, you pay a predetermined co-insurance amount, usually between 10%-30%, for services such as well-child and office visits, hospitalization, outpatient care and preventive care. You are free to see any doctor without a referral

In California, optional dental, vision, behavioral health, medical management and life insurance are also available. PacifiCare also offers a consumer-driven option through its Signature Freedom SDHP. In addition, they offer members access to many health and wellness programs and discounts, including optional enrollment in one of three Virtual Health Club Personal Health Improvement Training plans.
