Health Net of California Product Features

HealthNet of California, which has more than 2.5 million members throughout the state, offers residents the following insurance plans:

• FirstChoice PPO: Hospitalization and well-child coverage is standard with this plan, and a $500 benefit is offered for members to put toward medical expenses. 
  
  
• SimpleChoice: This plan offers enrollees major  hospital coverage and routine office visits for a fixed co-pay.  Out-of-pocket maximums are low.
  
  
• ValueChoice/NetSaver: This plan is designed to cover catastrophic  coverage, therefore  in-patient and outpatient visits, and emergency room visits  are  given higher priority than preventive treatments and well-child/office visits.
  
  
• HMO 15/40 plan: This plan is for those who  do not visit the doctor very  often. The monthly premiums are lower,  but visits to the doctor require a higher  co-pay.

HealthNet  of California also offers members a consumer-driven option through its Smart Choice HSA saver. In addition, they offer low cost dental and vision coverage,  short-term plans for 1-6 months,  and individual term life insurance, as well as a unique Health Plan for Latinos on both sides of the California/Mexico border.
