Bankers Life and Casualty Company has been meeting the needs of seniors since 1879. It started out as the Hotel Men's Mutual Benefit Association of the United States and Canada and eventually grew strong enough to buy out a suffering company in Chicago, where it then received its modern name, Bankers Life and Casualty Company. For California seniors, who are as diverse as the cities and towns they live in, Banker's Life offers a variety of coverage options that mimic a standard PPO, but which are available only to them. Also included in this specialized coverage suite are:

• Medicare Supplement Insurance: This plan offers seniors assistance in paying for Medicare deductibles, medical co-insurance, extended care, supplies, and ambulance services.
  
  
• Long Term Care: At this stage in your life, you may eventually have to spend some time in a long-care facility. This benefit helps cover the cost of home health care and nursing home care.
  
  
• Life insurance: Whole life or universal life is available for members of Bankers Life.

Bankers Life and Casualty also offers seniors access to the Bankers Health Advantage Program, which saves them up to 20% on prescription drugs and 50% on dental and vision services, including routine and preventive treatments.
