California residents benefit from Aflac's overall success as well. With their unique needs in mind, Aflac offers California residents the following supplemental coverage:

• Hospitalization: Aflac will pay after 14 hours of hospital confinement, from day one; intensive care unit (including neonatal), ambulance service, surgery, related physician's visits, and organ transplants.
  
  
• Dental: Basic preventive and basic coverage. There are no deductibles with this plan.
  
  
• Vision: corrective procedures, implants and disorders, in addition to traditional well-eye care.
  
  
• Accident/Disability: Pays you directly for ambulance, family-lodging, and treatment, including accident-death benefits if necessary.
  
  
• Cancer: This plan covers treatment options including radiation and chemotherapy, hospitalization, hospice and transportation (if over 100 miles away from your home).
  
  
• Life insurance: Whole life or term life up to $200,000 with no medical exam or blood test.

Aflac also offers consumers long-term care and short term disability, in addition to many discounts to employees for Dependent Day Care and parking/transit costs.
